Bangla Express Desk: The government of Bangladesh has indefinitely suspended the visa-on-arrival visa facility at the ports in Bangladesh.
The Home Ministry’s security services department said in a directive on Tuesday that the rule would apply to all countries until further notice.
However, only the existing visa policy for foreign investors and traders, incoming visas can be issued in Bangladesh.
In that case, the visa applicant has to show the certificate of ‘Covid-19 Negative’ in the RT-PCR examination while entering the ports. And the test must be done within 72 hours of reaching Bangladesh.
The required certificate and ancillary documents as an investor or trader must be presented at the immigration counter.
The ‘Visa on-Arrival’ facility was suspended in Bangladesh from March 15 to March 31 to prevent coronavirus infection. Later, the period of suspension was extended till June 15. Now it has been suspended indefinitely.
