Sharjah, UAE: The launch of the book “Future-Proofing Businesses Through Smart IS and Emerging Technologies” was held last night at the Writers’ Forum of the Sharjah International Book Fair, hosted at the Sharjah Expo Centre. The event drew an enthusiastic audience and turned into a heartfelt celebration of learning, collaboration, and community.
What started as an academic vision evolved into an evening filled with warmth and emotion, attended by family members, colleagues, alumni, students, and well-wishers. The gathering highlighted the spirit of teamwork behind the publication and the growing interest in emerging technologies in business.
Student representatives Asraa Shaikh and Taha Hussain delivered moving acknowledgements, drawing strong appreciation from the audience. Their reflections underscored the purpose of the project and the impact of academic initiatives on young learners.

Special guests Nawar Hakeem and Syed Atif Ali also shared inspiring messages, honouring the dedication, thought leadership, and integrity that shaped each chapter of the book. Long-time supporters Muhammad Hamad and Tasneem Nawab Elixir were recognised for their continued encouragement and contributions to the project’s development.
Dr Zeenath Reza Khan, lead editor of the book, associate professor at University of Wollongong in Dubai and founding president of Centre for Academic Integrity in the UAE said the evening was a celebration of inspiration, collaboration, and sincere recognition for the team behind the work.

A special appreciation was extended to Gulf Books for arranging the launch event, creating a memorable milestone for everyone involved.
